About US: In the year 2002, five enthusiastic individuals organized a group of masqueraders to participate as a section of a Band. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response, we built confidence in ourselves; and like a chunk of ice chipping away from an iceberg; this small group of enthusiasts eventually broke away.
In October 2002, we appropriately called ourselves Break Awae’ Kru “aka” B-Kru. With this newfound confidence, we then released the adrenaline rush in bringing the original camouflage band in South Florida.
The group is also community driven and family oriented, and as such not only participates in Carnival, but also takes it upon ourselves to host bus rides, parties, and fundraisers for public enjoyment. Being extremely successful in its efforts to date, Break Awae’ Kru’s mission and vision call for bigger, better, and more meaningful projects in the future.
